Granted!

Why is taking someone for granted made out to be such a bad thing? I think it is the best gift life can ever bestow upon you. It just means that you can count on them to watch your back no matter what...how many such relationships can we boast of today? The comfort that your heart feels when you know you can take someone for granted in unmeasurable--the comfort of knowing that someone is going to be there for you...always, whether you mess up or do well.

Looking at it from the other side of the table, I'd say that if you are being taken for granted...then it just means that someone trusts you immensely. You should be proud of yourself that someone considers you worthy of that unconditional trust.

So, stop and think...how many relationships you have that you can count upon, unconditionally? And then...thank the heavens that you have them!

But taking for granted is always thought of as a bad thing...There have been breakups in relationship just because the other person took you for granted...aint it true?

That's so true...see I am not advocating that we all become door-mats...just that we look at the 'granted thing' a little more lightly...so that we don't keep a count of how much we did for others.

You know what! It dawned on me very recently, that we all take our immediate family for granted and yet never mistaken...and that's what makes family special..."MOM's" are definitely taken for granted and the best part here is that every Mother knows that she's being taken for granted and yet she is herself! Had to share it with you :)
